BAC is excited to present a Winter Dance concert Inspired by the popular story “The Nightmare Before Christmas”! All students enrolled in our 2024-25 full Season are eligible to enroll in this extra Performance Opportunity!

GENERAL INFORMATION

A NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Told Thru narration & Dance, we Join Jack, Sally and Zero on an epic adventure as two holidays collide! To bring this story to life, We need dancers of all ages to perform the parts of reindeer, snowflakes, elves & more! This Sweet (and slightly spooky) story is certain to put you in the holiday “spirit”.

WINTER SHOW

Our winter show is an (Optional) Performance Opportunity for Dedicated dance students to have an additional Chance to be onstage. All Full Season Students Age 3-up are Eligible to Enroll. This performance is NOT included In full season tuition and requires attending rehearsals (not part of class time) and an additional fee to Participate. (see below) SPACE IN EACH AGE LEVEL IS VERY LIMITED.

PRODUCTION FEE: $150 per dancer

A production like this represents HUNDREDS of hours preparation from our staff and an Enormous amount of Expenses. The production fee helps cover the Theater rental, Insurance, sound/Light Technicians, staff wages, Utilities, props, costume pieces, music, various Production & Administrative expenses.

Production fees & Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable (no exceptions). Tickets are not included.

REHEARSALS - START SATURDAY OCT 19

Students will attend rehearsal every Saturday, Oct 19-Dec 14

(No practice Nov 30) Sat Dec 21 (TBD)

  • RECREATIONAL DANCERS will be assigned a 20-90 min Rehearsal time Slot on SATURDAYS between 10:00-2:00. Times will vary week to week Depending on What is being rehearsed that week. Students will perform one routine in the show.

  • COMPANY CLASSES will Rehearse in class, And join a Saturday rehearsal in December. (likely Dec 7)

    ATTENDANCE POLICY

  • Dance is TEAM sport. With only 8 rehearsals - Attendance is Essential to the success of the show.

  • attendance is MANDATORY The first 2 weeks (Oct 19 & 26) is when routines are broke down & taught in detail. you must attend these 2 days to participate. If you have an Unavoidable Conflict - Contact the studio to see if instructor is Available for private lessons ($45) to catch you up

  • If you have an unavoidable conflict any other week, Contact the studio ahead of time for approval.

  • Unreported Absences may result in being removed from the Production without refund at the instructors Discretion.

COSTUMES

Dancers will be Provided a Costume to Wear at the Performance. Students will need to purchase a Tan Camisole leotard & Tan Tights to wear under their costume. All Costumes are returned to BAC after the performance.

The Show Is Roughly 45-60 Minutes.

1:00 Company dancers blocking rehearsal

3:00 Check in (All Classes) for Closed Dress Rehearsal At The Theater (No Audience Allowed)

5:00 Performance (house opens 30min prior for seating)
